What are the dates for the camp?

The next Tilden Summer Camp is from Sunday, June 22rd - Saturday, June 28th, 2025.

What is the cost of the camp?

The price is $775 for one boy and $675 per boy for 2+. If you submit your application by April 1, you can access our special early bird pricing of $725 for one boy and $625 per boy for 2+.

What should my son bring? Is there a packing list available?

Yes, please consult the Apply page, which lists what campers should bring.

Where will Tilden Summer Camp 2025 be held?

Tilden Summer Camp takes place at the Cedar Lake Campground in Big Bear Lake, CA, which is west of Los Angeles and San Bernardino. The address is 1100 Mill Creek Rd, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315.

When can I drop off my son at Tilden Summer Camp?

Please plan on arriving and checking in at the Cedar Lake Campground between 3pm and 4pm on Sunday, June 22rd. 

Can I mail my son a letter or care package while he is at the camp?

Tilden Summer Camp suggests that parents do not mail their son(s) any letters or care packages at the camp. Mail can be delayed, and past incidences have left the campsite with letters and packages after the camp finished.

My son has special dietary needs. Can these be accommodated?

Yes, please list these in the section provided in the camper application so Tilden Summer Camp staff can be aware.

My son has a medical condition that requires daily medicine. Can this be accommodated?

Yes, please list these in the section provided in the camper application so Tilden Summer Camp staff can be aware. If the camper needs to see a doctor or nurse on a regular basis, you will need to provide specific instructions along with medicines, etc.

We would like to send our son but cannot afford the full price of the camp. What are my options?

The fee of the camp can be paid in monthly installments. If you would like to pay in monthly installments, please contact us by email (staff@tildencamp.com).

If it is not possible for you to pay the full amount, please contact us by email so we can seek out a donor to help provide a scholarship.

My son attended Tilden Summer Camp in the past and is interested in becoming a Counselor. How does he apply for this?

Your son can apply through this website on the Counselor page.

My son was accepted as a camp counselor. Is there a fee for him?

There is a $150 transportation and room & board fee for counselor training (which occurs the week prior to camp).

I am a Dad and I want to come to the camp for Dad’s day. Is there a fee?

Yes, the Dad’s day fee is $110.

Is Tilden Summer Camp related to Tilden Study Center?

Tilden Summer Camp is an independent non-profit organization that is affiliated with Tilden Study Center. Many of the volunteers and staff at the camp also volunteer at Tilden Study Center.
